Organic vegetables are high in flavonoids which protect our cells from damage. This plant chemical is thought to be helpful in preventing cancer and combating age-related neurological problems like Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. Flavonoids also protect the plant itself from insects, bacteria and fungus.
In studies between organic and non-organic fruit and vegetables such as corn and berries, the organic variety was found to have substantially higher levels of nutrients than the non-organic types. The minerals in organic vegetables are shown to have the potential to kill cancer cells or prevent them from spreading.
What are organic vegetables made of? Not only are organically grown vegetables better for your body, but there is evidence that the farming methods use to grow organic vegetables are much safer for the environment than conventional farming methods. This is because the organic farming methods utilize only chemical-free fertilizers and pesticides which can be released into our atmosphere and break it down. Organic vegetables are also said to taste better.
